Packaging waste, collage, fabric, embroidery, batik, painting on unprimed canvas and Tyvek, 2019. The term "Must Haves" is often used for fashion and suggests that you absolutely have to have something, which is usually already out of date in the next season. This fast fashion is at the expense of the environment and the producers, who usually have to produce something in low-wage countries under unspeakable conditions, which is not, or at least not needed for long. Since the consumers often suppress this, I have kept the lower part of my work in gray tones, and abstracted. The upper part, on which Fortuna presents the beneficiaries, shines promisingly as in an advertising brochure, it consists entirely of packaging waste.
The artist about her work: "Since I can think, color-form and material compositions exert a strong fascination on me. The combination of often several materials and forms of expression such as painting and drawing with various printing, dyeing and textile techniques are characteristic of my work. The resulting relief effect gives the light from every angle differently, the appropriate material picks up the meaning of a theme on another level. Mainly I implement personal experiences, nature and travel impressions, as well as current events, and would like to tell the viewers a story- even more I am happy when they find their own story a bit in my work."
