About the Artwork
Fabric, collage, embroidery, drawing, painting; 2020 Looking at a moor landscape, heaven and earth seem to merge. Peatlands are an indispensable part of the ecosystem in their function as carbon storage and shelter for a variety of plants and animals. By combining techniques and materials, I have tried to reflect this diversity. Different levels are created, the image works from every angle again different and you see either the animals hidden in the foreground, or their habitat.
About the Artist
The artist about her work: "Since I can think, color-form and material compositions exert a strong fascination on me. The combination of often several materials and forms of expression such as painting and drawing with various printing, dyeing and textile techniques are characteristic of my work. The resulting relief effect gives the light from every angle differently, the appropriate material picks up the meaning of a theme on another level. Mainly I implement personal experiences, nature and travel impressions, as well as current events, and would like to tell the viewers a story- even more I am happy when they find their own story a bit in my work."
