ARt-Gallery: Discover art digitally in the city

The Cultural Summer manifests the new start of Hamburg's cultural scene - and MeetFrida is represented with two events! It starts on 17 July with our virtual group exhibition "ARt-Gallery": with 20 exhibits by 20 freelance Hamburg artists in one (virtual and real) place, we curate a digital artistic appropriation of public space and one of the largest digital group shows in Germany at six locations in Hamburg.

The name ARt Gallery alludes to the digital implementation of the exhibition in AR (augmented reality): Here the mobile phone screen becomes the museum entrance, here one can immerse oneself in a group exhibition that is only visible on the mobile phone or tablet.

The exhibition is visible in real space via a cube that marks the location and enables access via QR code. Visitors simply scan the code on their mobile phone, the AR exhibition opens directly in the browser, an app is not necessary.

You can also find one of our ARt Gallery cubes on the MS Artville and at the Wilhelmsburg S-Bahn station. Here, visitors can expect even more art: the group show is complemented by ten Artville artists.
