Marie Mewes, sie ist in New York auf die Welt gekommen, hat in Düsseldorf Grafik Design studiert und lebt nun als Künstlerin in Hamburg.  Malen ist für Marie wie eine experimentelle Reise. Am Liebsten malt sie mit Acryl, sie liebt die satten Farben. Teilweise verbindet sie Gemaltes mit Geklebtem auf ihren Bildern.  Sie fängt Menschen/Momente/Eindrücke ein, lässt sie durch sich hindurchfliessen und transformiert sie so zu etwas Neuem. Ihre Intention ist es, mit ihren Bildern zu berühren.

Marie Mewes ist aktuell Teil der Ausstellung Kunstimpulse in der Mönckebergstraße. 

Marie Mewes, she was born in New York, studied Graphic Design in Düsseldorf and now lives as an artist in Hamburg.  Painting for Marie is like an experimental journey. She prefers to paint with acrylic, she loves the rich colors. Partly she combines painted with glued on her pictures.  She captures people/moments/impressions and lets them flow through her, transforming them into something new. Her intention is to touch with her images.

Marie Mewes is currently part of the Kunstimpulse exhibition on Mönckebergstraße.
