Vera Drebusch, born 1986 in Herdecke (DE), lives and works in Hamburg. Drebusch studied at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, in Bogotá, and at the Art Academies of Bremen (Class Franka Hörnschemeyer) and Kassel. During her studies, Drebusch was already taking up artist residencies and international scholarships in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, as well as in Bogotá and the USA. These experiences led to a number of group and solo exhibitions in Cologne, Düsseldorf, the Ruhr area, and Berlin, as well as international shows in Istanbul, York, Brussels, Bangkok, Vienna, and others. Vera Drebusch’s artistic approach is driven by different issues and mediums within which she investigates her notions of contemporary history, and questioning the aesthetics, structures, and images of our cultural life. Daniel Wrede, born in Pinneberg in 1979, first trained as a draughtsman from 1998 to 2001. He then studied communication design at the Kunstschule Wandsbek in Hamburg from 2003 to 2007. From 2008 to 2014 he studied fine arts at the Bremen University of the Arts, among others with Prof. Yuji Takeoka and Prof. Stephan Baumkötter, whose master student he became in 2014. His works were most recently shown in solo exhibitions in Bremen at the Galerie für Gegenwartskunst (2016) and the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus (2017).
